Blackbird Fly is a book about Apple, a 12 year old girl who just moved from the Philippines. Her dad died less than a year ago, and they have to think about every penny they spend. The two thing Apple wants is a $20 guitar and true friends. Apple sees people differently; instead of looking for the negative, she looks for what is special about each person. This story is about learning to find your courage, no matter who you are.

Kate rates this book 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸 out of 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸. I LOVED the plot, the story of friendship, how it was intertwined with music, and the lesson: anything is possible. I would HIGHLY reccomend it. Deffenitly in my top 7 that I've read!!!!
