Dune

Dune is a science fiction book that mainly takes place on the planet Arrakis. The main character is a kid named Paul Atriedes. He is the son of the Duke Atreides, and his family has just received Arrakis. Arrakis used to be owned by a rival house, the Harkonenns, but they were forced to leave. However, their ambition is to reclaim the planet and to kill the Atreides. On Dune, the principal crop is a spice called melange that is extremely valuable. Paul’s house gets attacked by the Harkonenns, and he and his mother flee into the desert. Paul gains an ability to see the future, achieved by inherent abilities, training, and melange. He has to reclaim the planet with the help of the natives, the Fremen.

This book was very good. I would recommend it to anyone who likes action or science fiction. I would rate it 9.5 out of 10.
